Job summary

UNC Pembroke’s Office of Global Engagement seeks a Study Abroad Coordinator to advise students on overseas options and faculty-led programs. You will provide information services, organize materials for study abroad, and assist with credit transfer and financial aid processes while promoting opportunities to students and families.

The role emphasizes collaboration with campus partners, development of partnerships, and event planning for annual international activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in related field.
• Applied knowledge in overseas travel requirements and advisories is desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to positively represent the International Department.

Responsibilities

• Recruit UNCP study abroad/away students and manage exchanges and faculty-led programs.
• Pursue federal and state grants, scholarships, and other financial opportunities.
• Meet with prospective study abroad candidates and conduct orientations.
• Promote UNCP as an exchange partner and collaborate with deans and faculty.
• Coordinate with campus units to streamline credit-transfer, transcripts, and financial aid related to study abroad.
• Manage social media, student data, and marketing of study abroad opportunities.
• Assist with strategic goals for international exchange and annual international week activities.
• Design and promote a Career Abroad Program for US and international students.
