Qualifications

• Commitment to the needs of international students on F-1 visas.
• Ability to plan, organize, assess and deliver events for diverse student groups.
• Research and analyze government documents and regulations to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication, and ability to explain complex rules to non-native English speakers.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills to resolve complex issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Advise and educate international students on F-1 visa regulations using a consultative approach.
• Serve as the F-1 Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for J-1, liaising with agencies and ensuring compliance.
• Consult with leadership and legal counsel on complex immigration cases.
• Plan and conduct workshops educating the international community on immigration requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with schools and colleges regarding visa requirements for faculty, staff, and scholars.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. immigration regulations.
• Assist in monitoring policies impacting operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
