Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Assistant International Faculty and Scholar Advisor to guide international faculty and scholars through immigration processes, with emphasis on J-1 Exchange Visitor matters. You will support campus partners and visiting scholars and work within the ISSS team to ensure compliance and excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the general inbox as primary contact for international faculty, scholars, and departments.
• Provide clear information on immigration processes to diverse audiences.
• Assist with orientations, workshops, and programming throughout the academic year.
• Help maintain website information regarding programs, services, and related resources for international faculty and scholars.
• Identify updates to web content related to international faculty processes.
• Serve as Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for the J-1 program and provide guidance on compliance.
