Job summary

UTHealth Houston is seeking an International Visitor Advisor I (with potential for II) to support international students, staff, and faculty with immigration processes. The role involves processing visa sponsorships (F-1/J-1) and ensuring program compliance. A hybrid schedule with up to two remote days per week is offered, with duties centered in the University Center Tower.

Preferred candidates include experience as a DSO or ARO and background in international education or immigration. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Experience in international education or immigration preferred.
• DSO/ARO experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to process visa sponsorship and sign immigration documents.
• Compliance with non-immigrant visa program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process visa sponsorships (F-1/J-1) and verify visa status for employees or students.
• Advise administrators on visa restrictions and options for study or employment.
• Provide presentations, orientations, and information sessions to the international community at UTHealth Houston.
• Create records, sign immigration forms, and validate arrivals for international students or scholars.
• Assist international students, staff, and faculty with immigration processes and related documentation.
