Job summary

UL LLC is seeking a highly experienced engineer for a hybrid role requiring three days per week in any UL location in the US. Remote consideration is possible for non-commutable candidates.

You will act as a subject matter expert for standards, industry, and test capabilities, drive consistency and quality, and represent UL at industry events. The role focuses on thermal management, high-density data center cooling, and open specifications, with global impact and opportunities to lead

Qualifications

• Has 12+ years of direct, progressive engineering experience in high-density data center cooling or HPC hyperscale ecosystems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal/Fluid Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Physics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Regional or Global SME for multiple technologies.
• Represent on standards committees and publish articles related to technical expertise.
• Study test standards, testing technology, and regulations for scope of responsibility.
• Lead continuous improvement and develop new test methods and equipment.
• Travel to client sites and industry events as needed.
• Read and follow UL Code of Conduct and security practices.
