Job summary

Umbra Lab, Inc. in Arlington/Reston, VA is seeking a Program Manager to lead government programs on Umbra's Mission Solutions team.

You will supervise the full lifecycle, coordinating with engineering, product, finance, contracts, and operations to deliver space and mission solutions on schedule and within budget. The role emphasizes risk management, integrated planning, and clear customer communication, aligning technical priorities with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Business, or related field.
• 5-8+ years program management, incl. 2+ years government, aerospace, or defense.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical programs and cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk.
• Experience serving as the primary interface with customers and stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and lifecycle.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10-25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of complex government programs and ensure objectives are met.
• Serve as primary customer contact during program execution, building trust.
• Develop and communicate integrated program plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor performance across technical, financial, schedule, and contract metrics.
• Lead reviews, status meetings, and customer briefings with clear progress updates.
• Partner with Finance to manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, contracts, finance, and operations.
• Support change management and drive continuous improvement.
