Job summary

Umbra is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex government programs for the Mission Solutions team. The role oversees the full lifecycle, coordinating engineering, product, finance, contracts, and operations to deliver secure, mission-ready space solutions in Arlington/Reston, VA.

You will interface with government customers, manage budgets and schedules, implement risk strategies, and drive program excellence within Umbra’s Agile framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant STEM or business field.
• 5–8+ years of program or project management experience, including 2+ years in government/defense programs.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical programs with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk.
• Strong customer interface during execution.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of complex government programs, delivering on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Serve as primary customer interface and manage risks, issues, and communications.
• Coordinate with engineering, product, finance, contracts, and operations to align priorities and execution.
