Job summary

Prosum seeks a Global Category Director in San Antonio, TX to lead end-to-end strategic sourcing across global operations. You will own the full 7-step sourcing lifecycle, translating spend data and market intel into actionable strategies that drive cost savings and supplier performance.

You will partner with Engineering, R&D, and global stakeholders to optimize spend and supplier relationships. The role requires strong category management expertise, advanced negotiation skills, and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and proven experience in supply chain and category management.
• Strong strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation background.
• Experience with semiconductor fabrication or related environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the full 7-step strategic sourcing process for assigned categories.
• Analyze global spend data across entities to identify opportunities.
• Develop category strategies, supplier selection, pricing models, and contract frameworks.
• Lead high-value supplier negotiations and lifecycle management.
• Partner with Engineering, R&D and cross-functional teams to drive cost optimization.
• Monitor supplier performance and track savings and outcomes.
