Job summary

MP Biomedicals in Solon, Ohio is seeking a Shipping Coordinator for a full-time role. You will plan and coordinate shipments, prepare documentation, and communicate with carriers to ensure accurate, timely deliveries.

The position requires at least one year of shipping or related experience, a high school diploma, proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/shipping software, and tow motor operations. Benefits include 401(k) match, healthcare, paid vacation and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in a comparable role preferred, preferably with a chemical company.
• Microsoft Office experience with Excel & Outlook.
• Experience with ERP or shipping software.
• Tow motor experience and license required.
• International shipping experience preferred.
• Experience working with FedEx, UPS, LTL carriers, and freight forwarders.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. routinely.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the shipment of orders including picking & packing, arranging transportation, scheduling pickups, and preparing shipping documentation such as bills of lading and shipping labels.
• Build and prepare truck shipments using powered industrial lift trucks and packaging/wrapping machinery.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and shipping carriers regarding inquiries, updates, and issues.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documents, including tracking information, shipping manifests, and delivery confirmations.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and requirements, including hazardous materials handling, customs documentation, and safety regulations.
• Identify, prioritize, and resolve shipping-related issues, such as delays, damaged shipments, or incorrect orders.
• Metering packages for domestic and international shipments via FedEx, UPS and other carriers.
• Provide excellent internal customer service by addressing inquiries, tracking shipments, and resolving shipping-related issues.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
