Job summary

MP Biomedicals in Solon, Ohio is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to manage the end-to-end shipping process. The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, regulatory compliance, and strong coordination with internal teams and external carriers.

The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP/shipping software, international shipping, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A tow motor license is required and familiarity with FedEx/UPS is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a comparable role, preferably chemical industry.
• Microsoft Office experience with Excel & Outlook.
• Experience with ERP or shipping software.
• Tow motor experience and license required.
• International shipping experience required.
• Experience with FedEx, UPS, LTL carriers, and freight forwarders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely.
• Walking/standing while preparing shipments.
• Ability to pick from walk-in freezer.
• Ability to work with cold packs and Dry Ice.
• Operate powered industrial trucks (tow motor).
• Use of PCs, Teams, and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate shipment of orders including pickup and packing.
• Coordinate with carriers and internal teams on shipping inquiries and issues.
• Prepare shipping documents and labels; manage tracking info.
• Prepare truck shipments using lift equipment and wrapping machinery.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and safety requirements.
• Resolve shipping delays or damages promptly and efficiently.
• Manage domestic and international shipments with carriers.
• Provide internal customer service and update stakeholders.

The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the shipment of products to customers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with shipping regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth shipping operations.

Duties:

Plan and coordinate the shipment of orders including picking & packing, arranging transportation, scheduling pickups, and preparing shipping documentation such as bills of lading and shipping labels.

Build and prepare truck shipments using powered industrial lift trucks and packaging / wrapping machinery.

Serve as one of the points of contact for internal teams and shipping carriers regarding shipping-related inquiries, updates, and issues.

Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documents, including tracking information, shipping manifests, and delivery confirmations.

Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and requirements, including hazardous materials handling, customs documentation, and safety regulations.

Identify, prioritize, and resolve shipping-related issues, such as delivery delays, damaged shipments, or incorrect orders, in a timely and effective manner.

Metering packages for both domestic and international shipments via FedEx, UPS and other carriers.

Provide excellent internal customer service by addressing inquiries, tracking shipments, and resolving shipping-related issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Education:

• High school graduate or GED required
