Job summary

AV is seeking a Shipping Coordinator III to manage packaging, labeling and shipping of finished goods, coordinating with transportation providers and supporting related documentation. The role requires handling inquiries, ensuring invoice accuracy, and maintaining records and reports for accounting and other areas.

Responsibilities include executing shipping processes, routing shipments, and coordinating DoD/international deliveries while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• HAZMAT ground and air shipping certification.
• 2–4 years of related experience; 2 years in a global shipping environment.
• Experience supporting FAA and DOT audits as well as administrative support experience.
• Experience utilizing UPS, DHL or FedEx online shipping system.
• Prior forklift experience and/or certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes shipping processes including packaging, labeling and shipment of product.
• Identifies shipping requirements and best routes and methods for delivery to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate shipments for commercial, DoD and international conveyance including all necessary documentation, schedule freight shipments with freight forwarders and carriers, verify shipments’ compliance integrity.
• Performs administrative duties in support of activities related to the shipping of finished goods.
• Identifies, tracks and maintains all necessary materials and documentation to support internal and external audits.
• Demonstrates ability to handle shipping internationally and navigate requirements & restrictions.
• Responsible for implementing best practices including safety requirements, maintaining desk procedures.
• Works with Shipping Supervisor and Senior Shipping Clerk on all aspects of the operation.
• Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
• Receives little instruction on daily work & general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
