Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Shipping Coordinator III to manage packaging, labeling and shipping of finished goods, coordinating with transporters and internal teams. You will verify invoices, log orders and maintain records to support audits and reporting.

The role requires 2–4 years in global shipping, HazMat certification, FAA/DOT audit experience, and proficiency with UPS/DHL/FedEx systems, plus forklift credentials preferred. ITAR compliance and occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• HAZMAT ground and air shipping certification.
• 2–4 years of related experience; 2 years in a global shipping environment.
• Experience supporting FAA and DOT audits as well as administrative support.
• Experience utilizing UPS, DHL or FedEx online shipping system.
• Prior forklift experience and/or certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes shipping processes including packaging, labeling and shipment of product.
• Identifies shipping requirements and best routes and methods for delivery to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate shipments for commercial, DoD and international conveyance including all necessary documentation and scheduling.
• Performs administrative duties in support of activities related to the shipping of finished goods.
• Identifies, tracks and maintains documentation to support internal and external audits.
• Demonstrates ability to handle shipping internationally and navigate requirements & restrictions.
• Implements best practices including safety requirements and desk procedures.
• Collaborates with Shipping Supervisor and Senior Shipping Clerk on all aspects of the operation.
• Works on moderately difficult assignments requiring judgment to resolve issues.
• Receives limited instruction on daily work and new assignments.
