Job summary

Zones IT Solutions is seeking a Technical Support Associate to support our Global Service network in a data center and call center environment. You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, provide frontline support via phone and ticketing, and contribute to high customer satisfaction.

The role requires 1+ year of experience with X86 systems, strong diagnostics, and excellent communication. It’s a 6-month contract-to-hire based in Jersey City, NJ with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent
• 1+ year of experience servicing complex X86 systems and parts
• 1+ year in a customer support role
• Strong hardware diagnostics and BIOS/drivers understanding
• Experience with Excel functions or database management
• Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade server hardware

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support via phone, email, and ticketing system
• Drive tickets to resolution and update internal/external notes
• Maintain ticket workflow and ensure timely responses
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
• Order and process returns for parts and escalate complex problems as needed
• Monitor data center infrastructure for uptime and performance
• Collaborate with data center staff to resolve issues
• Document data center activities and incidents
