Job summary
Fairbanks Morse Defense is seeking a hands-on Senior Field Service Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mission‑critical equipment for U.S. military and government customers.
The role requires regional leadership in the field and strong collaboration with customers and internal teams. You will travel up to 75% domestically and internationally, working at customer sites and shipboard environments, with safety as a priority and opportunities to mentor junior
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three years of experience as an FMD Field Service Technician.
- One of the following: an associate degree in a technical discipline with four years of military experience; or four years of military or similar industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and service a variety of Fairbanks Morse Defense products.
- Lead field activities and mentor less‑experienced associates.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment with minimal supervision.
- Provide on‑the‑job training and customer equipment training.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain documentation.
