Job summary

Defense Maritime Solutions is seeking a Field Service Rep III – Sr Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, install and maintain advanced diesel engine systems at customer sites. The role combines hands-on service with autonomy, mentoring junior technicians, and delivering high-quality technical guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of field service experience in the maritime industry.
• Optionally: Associate degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years experience in diesel engine field OR diesel engine technician certification with 4+ years experience OR 8+ years diesel engine service experience OR 4+ years military experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical, electrical, and supervisory services for assembly, installation, repair, overhaul, and maintenance of diesel engine products in field and shop.
• Coordinate and supervise diesel engine installation, repair, and maintenance in field and shop.
• Offer expert technical guidance to field service team and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Perform overhauls, inspections, tests, and troubleshooting to ensure performance per work standards.
• Document service actions and submit QA reports; address warranty claims on-site.
