ViiV Healthcare, a global HIV-focused company, seeks a Senior Director, Early Development Leader to lead a global multi-disciplinary team from candidate selection through Proof of Concept and Phase 2b. The role is based in U.S.

locations (Durham/PA/Branford/MA/CT) with domestic relocation options and potential London HQ alignment. You will shape development strategy, coordinate with Commercial and other functions, and own budget and governance discussions.

Qualifications

• MSc with 10+ years of drug development experience.
• Experience in establishing and executing a drug development strategy.
• Experience presenting scientific data to stakeholders.
• MD/DO/PhD/PharmD with clinical fellowship or infectious diseases research experience.
• 10+ years in drug development including oral drug development.
• Strong communication and leadership in a matrix environment.
• Experience in HIV drug development and pharmaceutical development understanding.

Responsabilités

• Lead the multi-functional global Early Development Team (EDT) to Phase 2b.
• Direct medicine development strategy from Candidate Selection through POC/MD.
• Contribute to regional and global strategy for products.
• Interface with Senior Management and external stakeholders to drive strategy.
• Coordinate with Commercial to align strategy and timelines.
• Prioritize asset development options to manage budget.
• Facilitate progress and issue resolution across functions.
• Create and maintain integrated asset development plan.
• Own overall project budget and governance representations.
• Influence multi-disciplinary project activities across the organization.
