Job summary

ViiV Healthcare is seeking a Senior Director, Early Development Leader to head a global multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering an asset to Phase 2b. The role can be based in Branford, CT or other US locations and is eligible for domestic relocation.

You will shape development strategy, align with Commercial and other functions, manage budgets, and represent the EDT at governance reviews across ViiV and GSK. Strong leadership in HIV drug development is essential.

Qualifications

• MSc & 10+ years of drug development experience.
• Experience in establishing and executing a drug development strategy.
• Experience presenting scientific data to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the multi-functional global Early Development Team (EDT) to deliver an asset to Phase 2b.
• Direct medicine development strategy and plans from Candidate Selection through Proof of Concept.
• Interface with Senior Management and external stakeholders to drive the Medicine Development Strategy.
