WSP USA is seeking a Senior Operations Specialist to join the IT Operations team in the AMERICAS Hub. You will manage compute operations across servers, storage, and virtualization, ensuring service levels and reliability for a global enterprise.

Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential, with on-call duties and occasional extended hours. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and staying compliant with information security practices while coordinating with vendors

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
At least 5-7 years relevant and practical experience in a Compute operations role.
Extensive in-depth knowledge of Compute services and infrastructure.
Experience in ITIL-aligned Service Management organisations is preferred.
Experience with large/global enterprise IT with multiple sites.
Proficiency with compute technologies and related activities listed in the posting.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain compute operations with a focus on designated hub.
Provide on-call support and participate in periodic rotation as needed.
Lead improvements in people, processes, and technology within IT operations.
Oversee upgrades, performance tuning, and issue resolution for compute services.
Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for service activities.
Assist in disaster recovery planning and data management initiatives.
Document procedures and ensure audit/compliance readiness.
