Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Operations Specialist to ensure efficient operation of internal Compute services across the AMERICAS Hub. You will be part of the IT Operations team reporting to the IT Infrastructure Operations Manager, managing compute services, performance, and reliability.

You will lead and mentor team members, drive improvements, and support continuity and disaster recovery planning while maintaining strict service levels and security compliance in a global enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years relevant and practical experience in a Compute operations role.
• Extensive in-depth knowledge of Compute services and infrastructure.
• Experience of working within ITIL aligned Service Management organisation.
• Proven experience with Dell/HP servers, Cisco UCS, VMware, Nutanix, and cloud storage/backups.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all aspects of Compute operations.
• Provide on-call support and periodic rotation for off-hours coverage.
• Identify opportunities for improvements in people, processes, and technology.
• Lead team members in developing methods and analytical approaches.
• Ensure service levels through day-to-day operations and health maintenance.
• Support audits and compliance activities.
