Job summary

Affirm is seeking a senior security leader to run global investigations and the incident response program as we expand internationally. You will guide complex investigations, build operating practices, and scale capabilities across regions with a hands-on engineering focus.

You’ll lead a technically deep team, drive durable remediation, shape AI-enabled workflows, and deliver clear security and privacy safeguards for executive leadership and the board.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in security operations or incident response.
• Proven ability to lead major security incidents in cloud environments.
• Strong communication to executives and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead security incidents and investigations across the full lifecycle.
• Serve as incident commander for major security events with cross-functional groups.
• Guide investigations with engineering teams and drive durable fixes.
• Develop a technically oriented response team and on-call readiness.
• Create playbooks, escalation paths, and postmortems with measurable metrics.
• Drive tooling improvements and AI-enabled investigation workflows with safeguards.
• Translate security metrics into executive dashboards and risk reporting.
