Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking an experienced security leader to head its global investigations and incident response program as we scale internationally. You will guide complex investigations, build readiness, and shape AI-enabled workflows with human oversight and safeguards.

You will lead a technically deep, engineering-oriented team, directing investigations while remaining close to the technical work and driving durable engineering improvements across regions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in security operations or incident response.
• Experience leading major security incidents in cloud-native environments.
• Strong background in investigations, detection, and forensics.
• Ability to translate security metrics into executive updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead security incidents and investigations across the full lifecycle.
• Act as incident commander for major events and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Guide root-cause analyses with engineering and drive durable fixes.
• Develop and coach an engineering-oriented incident response team.
• Set global readiness practices, playbooks, and on-call processes.
• Improve response tooling, telemetry, and automation with safeguards.
• Translate incident metrics into executive dashboards and risk reporting.
