Job summary

Avantor is seeking an experienced security leader to own global security strategy and risk mitigation. You will drive governance, risk assessment, and emergency preparedness across manufacturing, labs, and distribution sites worldwide, collaborating with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and professional certifications.
• Experience leading security and emergency preparedness across multi-site operations.
• Ability to assess risks, conduct mitigation planning, and lead crisis response.

Responsibilities

• Lead global physical security risk assessments, threat analyses, and mitigation plans.
• Develop governance for security programs and report to senior leadership.
• Oversee emergency preparedness standards and response protocols worldwide.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Facilities, IT and HR.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and program performance metrics.
• Coordinate drills, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
