Job summary

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Inc. in Miami is seeking a Seafreight Import Coordinator to ensure shipments meet client requirements and company objectives.

You will coordinate with customers, carriers, and government agencies, maintain compliance, and process shipments in line with procedures, Incoterms, and billing expectations. Strong communication and logistics knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or equivalent experience in freight forwarding or logistics beneficial.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; strong email and internet skills.
• Fluent or proficient English with clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipment-level communication with customers, carriers and vendors.
• Escalate recurring carrier issues to supervisor for resolution.
• Maintain service relationships with customers, carriers, vendors, and offices.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Advise supervisor on non-standard services and pricing.
• Set up customers in systems and maintain billing profiles.
• Develop CSOPs in collaboration with Account Management and Sales.
• Process shipments per SOPs, regs, and customer requirements.
• Perform credit checks prior to transportation arrangements.
• Prepare insurance requests and verify additional charges with customers.
