Job summary

Epsilon is seeking a Principal, Software Asset Management Enterprise Lead to shape the enterprise SAM strategy and licensing governance. This role reports to the Vice President of Asset Management Services and collaborates with IT, Legal, and Finance to align SAM with business objectives.

You will lead a high-impact team, drive cost optimization, and prepare for audits while promoting best practices across geographies and platforms, including on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in software asset management, IT procurement, or IT governance with leadership.
• Experience managing complex licensing across on-prem and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, SaaS).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise SAM strategy across business units and geographies.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, and controls for SAM practices.
• Provide executive-level reporting on software expenditure, compliance risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Lead end-to-end software lifecycle management: procurement, deployment, usage, renewal, retirement.
• Oversee SAM tools to enable automation, reporting, and compliance tracking.
• Manage vendor relationships and prepare for external audits and internal reviews.
• Identify risks related to unauthorized software use and license shortfalls.
• Partner with IT, procurement, finance, and legal to align SAM strategies.
