Job summary

Proofpoint in Sunnyvale seeks an experienced FP&A leader to partner with Worldwide Sales, owning planning, forecasting, and reporting for headcount, expenses, and GTM investments. This high-visibility role interacts with senior leadership to shape financial strategy and drive efficiency across a rapidly growing global sales organization, leveraging AI-enabled tools.

You will collaborate across Sales Ops, HR, Commissions, FP&A, and Accounting to align headcount planning and quota strategy,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of FP&A or finance roles, with a focus on sales finance or GTM support.
• Ability to partner with senior business leaders and influence strategic decisions.
• Deep knowledge of forecasting, planning, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint skills; familiarity with AI tooling a plus.
• Understanding ASC 606 and GAAP commissions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A support for Worldwide Sales, including annual planning, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks.
• Provide strategic variance analysis on expenses, headcount, and GTM investments; deliver actionable insights.
• Own and enhance financial models to forecast performance and support decision-making.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales Ops, HR, Commissions, FP&A, and Accounting to align planning.
• Drive process improvements and scalable tools for a growing global sales org leveraging AI.
• Prepare exec-level presentations for senior leadership and drive reporting at various levels.
• Model commissions within planned P&L and quota strategy.
