Job Summary

The Global Sales Director will be responsible for mentoring, developing, and overseeing a team of global sales representatives across a portfolio of global accounts for SHI. The Sales Director is responsible for working with all team members to expand SHI’s financial footprint within existing and future customers to include a broader set of products and services that will optimize the value SHI brings to our customers and ensure our long-term success with each of them. The Sales Director will develop and build strong executive relationships within all of their accounts, maintaining independent communication lines to our clients to ensure strong and successful partnerships.

The Global Sales Director will report to the Global Sales Vice President – Pharma. This position is remote but may require reporting to SHI Headquarters in Somerset, NJ, as needed for business requirements.

Responsibilities

Include but not limited to:

  • Build strong executive relationships in Procurement and IT within your assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and be recognized as a leader within internal organizations, customers, and partners.
  • Mentor and develop the selling and customer relations skills of your team members.
  • Understand customer business needs and develop technology solutions to meet objectives.
  • Partner with sales leadership and vendors to provide value, establish relationships, and improve collaboration.
  • Execute sales strategies to achieve targets, including upselling and cross-selling.
  • Develop quarterly and annual growth plans with clear objectives for team members and the business.
  • Communicate value propositions effectively through proposals and presentations.
  • Participate in industry conferences to showcase SHI’s solutions.
  • Stay current on new technology, trends, and market behavior through self-study, certifications, and training.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of direct selling experience on large, complex, or international accounts.
  • Minimum 3+ years in a Sales Director role managing global sales teams or accounts.

  • Major technology sales certifications.
Unique Requirements
  • Global travel and frequent travel within the U.S., approximately 50%.
Additional Information
  • The estimated annual pay range is $250,000 - $350,000, including base and commission, dependent on experience and location. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
