Sales Director - Remote - Technology Services (Software, DevOps, Data)

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales Director with deep expertise in technical services sales to lead our growth across financial services accounts. This role is ideal for a high-performing, strategic seller with a strong understanding of DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Automation, Software Development, and Software Modernization.

The ideal candidate has a robust network in the financial services space, especially within banking institutions such as federal home loan banks, credit institutions, and capital markets. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, delivery, and marketing teams to drive pipeline, close deals, and expand client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation and close, with a focus on enterprise financial institutions.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate target accounts across technical service lines:
  • DevOps & Site Reliability Engineering
  • Platform Automation & Cloud-Native Enablement
  • Software Development & Application Modernization
  • Leverage your network within financial services to identify new opportunities, secure meetings, and grow strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to scope and position tailored solutions that solve complex client challenges.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, quotas, and revenue goals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate CRM records (Hubspot/Salesforce).
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven sales experience in technical or consulting services, preferably selling to CIOs, CTOs, and VPs of Engineering or Infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps principles, SRE, and platform engineering concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture, legacy system modernization, and cloud transformation.
  • Track record of success selling into financial services institutions – including commercial banks, credit unions, or federal home loan banks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, consultative sales environment with a strong team and client-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working for or selling services from a managed services provider, systems integrator, or cloud consulting firm.
  • Technical background or education is a plus (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and automation tooling (Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, etc.)
