Job summary

Quanta US is seeking a Sales Application Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface between the North American Sales/Order Processing teams and Europe’s Engineering group. You will analyze customer requirements, review drawings and specifications, and ensure accurate product configurations and timely technical support across sales cycles.

The role requires strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, experience with drawings, and proficiency in CRM/ERP systems (Salesforce, Sage 100).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; equivalent technical education with experience may be considered.
3+ years in mechanical engineering, application engineering, technical sales support, or related roles; industrial machinery/manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, translate customer requirements into product configurations, and support technical quotations.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary technical interface between Sales and Europe’s Engineering/Technical teams.
Analyze customer requirements and specifications to identify suitable product solutions.
Conduct technical studies to support applications and sales activities.
Review drawings, layouts, and technical specs for accurate configurations.
Coordinate with Engineering for evaluations, solutions, and clarifications.
Support quotations and proposals with technical input.
Assist Sales with technical questions and application needs.
Follow up on technical requests to ensure timely responses.
