Job summary

Crane Engineering is seeking an Application Engineer to blend sales and technical acumen to grow business in the Midwest market. The role emphasizes developing product knowledge, supporting sales teams, and delivering precise quotations.

The candidate should have an engineering background, 1+ year of related experience, and be capable of handling a fast-paced workload while collaborating across departments within a family-oriented culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field is preferred.
Minimum of one-year related experience or training.
Ability to work with various computer programs including vendor-based software.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains product and application knowledge for the assigned market.
Supports sales and management; assists office and warehouse with application and product information.
Provides customer and employee product training and sales call technical support.
Provides technical sales and marketing support to Crane customers and staff.
Provides high-quality quotations for specific applications as outlined by the customer or Account Manager.
Accurately prices, verifies contractual obligations, internal costs, agency sales and stock/drop-shipments.
Develops product and application knowledge to service customer and sales staff needs.
May perform other duties as assigned.
