Job summary

Gore & Associates is seeking a Global Planning Leader to head the worldwide planning function and strengthen the S&OP process in alignment with commercial teams. You will lead a multi-region planning team and drive improvements to forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and service levels.

Based in Newark, DE or Elkton, MD with a hybrid work arrangement, this role collaborates across commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, and finance to optimize planning maturity and SAP-enabled

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or business or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain/planning, including 5+ years in people leadership.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and improving planning processes.
• Experience leading or owning an S&OP process, including governance and cadence.
• Demonstrated ability to partner across functions, operate across multiple regions.
• Ability to travel up to 10%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Own the global S&OP process end-to-end, ensuring a disciplined cadence, clear decision points, and alignment across regions and product portfolios.
• Lead, coach, and develop the multi-region planning team, strengthening planning capability, functional excellence, and consistent ways of working.
• Optimize SAP S/4HANA-enabled planning processes by identifying business process improvements and partnering with digital teams to support effective configuration and adoption.
• Drive demand and supply planning process excellence, including common methods, tools, KPIs, governance, and standards.
• Monitor planning performance and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy, inventory performance, service levels, and process maturity.
• Partner cross-functionally with commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, finance, and logistics teams to align forecasts, supply plans, trade-offs, and business priorities.
