Job summary

Vertex invites a motivated student to join the Global Record to Report (RTR) Co-Op for a 6-month extended experience in Boston. You will contribute to finance transformation projects, assist with standardization and automation of RTR processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The program offers real projects, mentorship, and flexible work arrangements under Vertex’s Flex @ Vertex policy. Applicants should be pursuing a related bachelor’s degree and be available January–July 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related discipline.
• At least one prior co-op experience is preferred but not required.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; Vertex does not sponsor internships/co-ops.
• Must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before May 2027.
• Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, January–July 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support the R2R Strategy & Optimization team with day-to-day process improvement initiatives.
• Document current accounting and reporting processes, including flows and procedures.
• Assist with data collection and basic analysis for close and reporting metrics.
• Help develop and update process documentation, playbooks, toolkits, and training materials.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to capture notes and follow-up actions.
