Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Boston) is seeking a 6-month RTR Co-op to support the Record-to-Report Strategy & Optimization function. The role focuses on documenting processes, analyzing data, and shaping the AI-enabled finance roadmap in collaboration with Accounting, Finance, IT, Tax, and Legal teams.

The position offers exposure to global finance operations, a fast-paced environment, and an emphasis on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.

Responsabilités

• Support the R2R Strategy & Optimization team with day-to-day activities related to process improvement initiatives.
• Assist in documenting current accounting and reporting processes, including process flows, procedures, and supporting materials.
• Help gather, organize, and analyze information to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to defining the AI strategy for accounting, including the prioritization of key initiatives through year end.
• Support project tracking by helping maintain timelines, action items, meeting notes, and status updates.
• Assist with preparation of presentation materials, summaries, and reports for team and stakeholder meetings.
• Help develop and update process documentation, playbooks, toolkits, and training materials.
• Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams such as Accounting, Finance, IT, Tax, Treasury, and Legal to capture notes and follow-up actions.
• Support data collection and basic analysis for metrics related to close and reporting processes.
• Assist the team with testing, implementation, and rollout activities for process or system improvement initiatives.
• Conduct research on leading practices, process improvement ideas, and relevant technologies to support team priorities.
• Provide general administrative and project support to the R2R Strategy & Optimization team as needed.
