Job summary

Sonar in Austin, Texas HQ is seeking a Director, Head of Global Recruiting to lead the strategy, team, and systems behind talent acquisition worldwide. Reporting to the CHRO and working alongside our ELT, you'll lead a globally distributed recruiting team and partner with stakeholders in all our hubs from Singapore to Geneva.

This is a role that spans strategy to execution — you’ll set the vision for a world-class function and own a heavy req load.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in recruiting with leadership experience and owning a load of roles.
• Broad experience across technical and non-technical recruiting in a high-growth SaaS company.
• Hands-on with modern recruiting tech and process redesign.
• StrongOps background in recops, budgeting, and vendor management.
• Experience partnering with FP&A and senior executives on workforce planning.
• Global recruiting leadership with cross-cultural collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a globally distributed recruiting team, owning searches directly.
• Partner with stakeholders across hubs to align hiring strategy with local market needs.
• Own requisition administration and headcount forecasting with FP&A.
• Redesign recruiting processes using advanced technologies beyond simple AI integration.
• Build recruiting operations as the foundation for scalable, high-performing talent.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting for technical engineering and high-growth GTM roles.
• Own recruiting metrics and reporting to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Compensation on offers across markets and market intelligence.
• Work with HR Ops on visas, onboarding, background checks, and compliance.
• Develop employer branding and talent marketing to attract AI/engineering and GTM talent.
• Oversee recruiting technology stack and evaluate new tools as the team scales.
• Ensure compliance with local employment laws across all hubs.
