Job summary

United Airlines in Newark seeks a Ramp Training Instructor to translate learning needs into effective ramp training programs and to support our operations teams and customers worldwide.

You will manage end-to-end delivery, curriculum design, LMS administration, and coordination with safety and operations leaders to ensure compliant, high-quality training. The role offers competitive pay, benefits, and travel privileges.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant work experience in Training, Facilitation, Ramp Services, or Operations
• Up to 75% travel domestically and internationally as needed
• Proven stakeholder management experience with operational leaders, safety teams, and cross-functional partners
• Ability to identify customer needs and translate them into training solutions for ramp operations
• Experience in curriculum design and development
• Ability to perform the physical duties of a ramp employee for training purposes
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

Responsibilities

• Updates instructional guides and reference materials
• Proposes improvements to curriculum content, delivery, communication, and documentation processes
• Delivers content instruction and manages sessions from start to finish
• Provides administrative and logistical support (reservations, meals, data, organization)
• Acts as a subject matter expert for training content design, project implementation, and policy review
• Administers Learning Management Systems (LMS), including session management, participant enrollment, attendance, and assessments
• Provides technical and procedural support on training-related issues
• Ensures compliance with training requirements
• Prepares written summaries of training classes, including notes on individual student performance
• Drafts communication plans and programs for key initiatives
• Manages participant communications, focusing on enrollment and general course inquiries
