Job summary

SOPREMA USA seeks a Research Chemist to lead projects across roofing, waterproofing, insulation, and building envelope solutions. You will design and execute laboratory studies, test formulations, and document results for cross‑functional teams.

You’ll collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Technical, Marketing, and Production to translate research into scalable products, ensure HS&E compliance, and contribute to technical literature and supplier relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, plastics, rubber, textile or related field preferred.
• Experience formulating in a chemistry R&D lab or product development environment.
• Strong communication (spoken and written) and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan project-related activities with deadlines and resources.
• Independently manage projects and product testing.
• Analyze results and communicate findings in progress reports.
• Design and carry out lab experiments for feasibility and optimization.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Technical, Marketing and Production to commercialize R&D projects.
