Job summary

SOPREMA, a global leader in roofing and building envelope solutions, seeks a Project Engineer to lead capital projects across U.S. manufacturing sites.

You will manage from concept through startup, coordinate equipment design, supplier selection, installation, commissioning, and training. The role requires strong mechanical engineering expertise, project management, and the ability to collaborate across operations, maintenance, quality, and facilities, while ensuring safety, budget adherence,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of three (3) years designing and developing manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes.
• Experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, and startup preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project concepts, scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee equipment, process, and facility designs with CAD tools.
• Coordinate supplier, contractor, and internal resources during execution.
• Support maintenance, facilities, and quality teams on engineering challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practices across SOPREMA facilities.
• Ensure safety compliance and on-time project startup.
