Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking an experienced Senior RD&E professional to advance coating formulations and production processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in polymer systems and adhesive technologies, while delivering robust scale-up strategies for new coatings.

Candidates should have a strong background in coatings, polymers, and analytical methods, with demonstrated experience in laboratory and manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• BS in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related STEM field.
• Minimum 5 years in coatings, polymer RD&E.
• Experience with liquid, powder, or electrodeposition coatings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with General Industrial Sales, Technical and Marketing teams to support and secure new business and maintain current customer base.
• Leads technically complex projects or multiple simpler projects with minimal supervisor input.
• Analyzes data to identify trends, resolve customer issues and assess information for project advancement.
• Scale-up and manufacturing of new coating products; implements continuous improvement initiatives.
