Job summary

Munich Re Group is seeking a senior leader to head GSI Property Underwriting. You will set strategy, oversee underwriting guidelines, and coordinate responses to industry trends across Regional BUs to sustain long-term profitability.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive analytics, and ensure training and standards are met, while managing budgets and collaborating with CU Munich and Reinsurance colleagues. Remote-friendly with travel expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of Property Underwriting of primary business.
• Experience underwriting MGA/Program business.
• Experience in US admitted and E&S markets, personal as well as commercial lines.
• BS/ BA, advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set the overall GSI Property Underwriting strategy, guidelines and risk management approaches.
• Oversee GSI underwriting strategies and guidelines through GSI Underwriting teams.
• Respond to industry trends and coordinate consistent underwriting response.
• Implement Global Property UW strategies and guidelines where applicable.
• Lead referrals from BUs seeking approval outside delegated authority.
• Coordinate training and ensure underwriting training within GSI is conducted.
