Munich Re Group is seeking a Head of GSI Property Underwriting to provide a portfolio level view of Property risks across the global primary insurance portfolio. The role acts as second line of defense, ensuring underwriting quality and execution of GSI strategies across local BUs.

You will lead the Global UW initiatives, set risk management standards, and collaborate with CU Munich and BU Underwriting teams to ensure consistency and profitability. Travel up to 35-45% is expected.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Insurance Underwriting practices and procedures.
• Minimum of 10 years of Property Underwriting of primary business.
• Experience underwriting MGA/Program business.
• Experience in US admitted and E&S markets, personal as well as commercial lines.
• BS/ BA, advanced degree a plus.
• CPCU, ARe designations preferred.

Responsabilités

• Set the overall GSI Property Underwriting strategy, guidelines and risk management approaches.
• Oversee GSI underwriting strategies and guidelines through the GSI Underwriting teams.
• Coordinate responses to industry trends affecting GSI portfolio results and adjust policy language and decisions accordingly.
• Implement Global Property UW strategies and guidelines where applicable.
• Lead referrals from BUs and assist with difficult underwriting decisions.
