Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support nationwide services projects from the U.S. team. You will develop schedule and cost baselines, analyze monthly variances, and ensure risk reserves are accurately reflected in forecasts.

This role requires strong earned value management experience and collaboration with project teams. You will mentor junior staff, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and deliver standardized reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 5+ years related experience preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required for federal contracts and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 and EcoSys; strong project finance and accounting understanding.
• Experience managing international projects and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validate costs and update requirements.
• Create integrated critical path schedules and analyze progress.
• Generate earned value reports and conduct portfolio analysis.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and government regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.
