Job summary

3M is seeking a Production Planning Analyst to join our Maplewood, MN team. You will collaborate with 3Mers worldwide to optimize scheduling, inventory management, and supplier communication while applying Lean Six Sigma to improve supply chain speed.

You will contribute to capacity planning, SKU data management, and KPI reporting, with on-site work and up to 5% travel. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in supply chain roles are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree to be completed within 12 months of hire date
• Three (3) combined years of experience in supply chain planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing
• APICS certification or progress toward completion is a plus
• Experience leading Six Sigma Green Belt and/or other projects
• Experience with manufacturing planning software
• Excellent written and oral communication and strong presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, and teamwork abilities
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high service and customer satisfaction via scheduling, inventory management, order planning and processing
• Manage inventories to meet targets and maintain supplier communication
• Publish and present service and inventory metrics, results and gaps
• Monitor and report capacity requirements
• Analyze material flow parameters and manage SKU data
• Utilize factory planning and ERP tools (SAP, BI, MS Office)
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects and drive process improvements
