Job summary

3M is seeking a Production Planning Analyst to join our on-site team in Knoxville, IA. You will collaborate with global colleagues to plan production centers, balance service and cost, and drive data-driven decisions.

The role requires 1 year in Supply Chain/Logistics and a bachelor’s degree or higher. Expect cross-functional teamwork, continuous improvement, and use of SAP/3M systems. On-site with up to 5% travel; relocation may be authorized.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher completed before start.
• 1 year of experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics in relevant environment.
• ASCM CPIM certification preferred; if not complete, becomes part of development plan.
• Two years combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP ERP Software.
• 3M systems experience (Factory Planner, PMCS/IMES, Peoplesoft).
• Experience in Production Planning.
• Knowledge of SP, DP, and IBP processes.
• Strong data mining, data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Suite experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and self-motivational skills.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams.
• Experience utilizing Lean and Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production work centers; monitor output to meet customer requirements and improve efficiency.
• Communicate with Production Planning, Lean Value Stream, and Operations teams; participate in the Tier process.
• Collaborate with the business to understand customer requirements and forecasts; balance service, inventory and cost.
• Parameter management: optimize production lot sizes, cycles and safety stocks for balance between inventory and service.
• Manage capacity, identify and resolve production constraints and maintain inventory targets.
• Execute the production planning standard work using supply chain tools and IT systems.
• Lead Continuous Improvement projects to improve customer service, inventory and flow.
