Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Product Regulatory Associate to partner with product development, supply chain, marketing, and sales to ensure global regulatory compliance for lubricants. The role emphasizes structured processes, cross-functional collaboration, and timely regulatory responses.

Responsibilities include managing packaging approvals, maintaining SDS records, and supporting USMCA and other regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, environmental science, or related field.
• 12 years of experience in product regulatory or chemical compliance.
• Knowledge of GHS, REACH and import/export regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow established procedures.
• Capable of managing multiple regulatory requests.
• Experience with regulatory databases.
• Comfort working as individual contributor within a cross-functional team.
• Experience with labeling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product development, supply chain, project management, marketing, and sales teams to ensure regulatory compliance of lubricants marketed on a global basis.
• Review and approve packaging to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage internal and external regulatory requests with ownership, tracking progress, and updating status.
• Organize, update, and control Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documents and records.
• Validate databases and information related to Proposition 65, SVHC, REACH, and other regulatory bodies.
• Maintain well-organized records and documentation for quick retrieval of regulatory information.
• Prepare documentation for USMCA requirements.
• Complete product and chemical classifications for shipping hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
• Support new product development with regulatory guidance.
• Participate in initiatives to improve regulatory processes and procedures.
• Perform other product stewardship functions as assigned.
• Work as an individual contributor with ownership over specific accounts or regulatory processes while collaborating with a Product Regulatory Manager and another Product Regulatory Associate.
• Handle tight deadlines, make informed decisions, and manage stressful situations while maintaining accuracy.
