Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a strategic, experienced Procurement Technology leader to drive global platforms, integrations, data capabilities, and engineering teams across source-to-pay, procure-to-pay, and spend analytics for a large insurance organization.

The role partners with Global Procurement, Finance, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data Governance, and regional stakeholders to modernize procurement technology, improve resilience, and advance automation and AI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• Extensive experience with modern distributed applications and microservices.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale design projects.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and architecture strategy.
• Vendor management including negotiations and relationship management.
• Strong communication to executives and boards.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and drive change.
• Ability to work in a matrixed organization and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Procurement Technology strategy and roadmaps.
• Partner with procurement, finance, and enterprise architecture leaders.
• Oversee the design, integration, and modernization of procurement platforms.
• Drive cloud-native and AI-enabled procurement capabilities.
• Ensure security, compliance, and operational resilience.
• Manage budget, resources, and vendor performance.
• Promote DevOps, observability, and secure development practices.
• Provide guidance to engineering and delivery teams.
