Job summary

Transamerica Corporation seeks a Senior Manager of Software Engineering for Procurement to lead global technology platforms, data capabilities, and engineering teams. The role focuses on modernizing procure-to-pay, supplier management, and analytics across a multinational insurance group.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. computer science, information systems, math, engineering) or equivalent education/experience.
Eight years of experience with modern distributed applications, and microservices.
Six years of experience in delivery of large-scale design projects involving interaction with a broad spectrum of enterprise operational functions.
Four years of experience managing a diverse team.
Strong background in the execution of DevOps methodologies and continuous integration/delivery, and accomplishments in architecture and strategy.
Experience managing vendor relationships, including product/service evaluation, contract negotiations, and ongoing relationship management.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, integration, maintenance, and modernization of global procurement technology platforms and related enterprise integrations.
Drive end-to-end procurement technology delivery across source-to-pay and procure-to-pay processes.
Ensure systems are scalable, secure, resilient, and compliant with financial services/insurance controls.
Promote modern engineering practices (DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, secure development, release and incident management).
Provide technical guidance to development, platform, and support teams and align with senior leadership on roadmaps and governance.
