Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a strategic Procurement Technology leader to oversee global platforms, integrations, data capabilities, and engineering teams that support enterprise procurement across the organization.

The role partners with Global Procurement, Finance, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data Governance, and regional stakeholders to modernize procurement technology, improve resilience, and automate AI-enabled processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience with modern distributed applications and microservices.
• 6+ years delivering large-scale design projects.
• 4+ years of managing a diverse cross-functional team.
• Strong DevOps, CI/CD, and automation experience.
• Experience with vendor management and contracts.
• Ability to communicate with executives and the board.
• Proactive, analytical, and able to work in a matrix organization.
• Experience with procurement platforms like Ariba, Oracle Fusion.
• Knowledge of the financial services / insurance domain.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a global Procurement Technology strategy and roadmap.
• Own procurement platforms: source-to-contract, P2P, supplier lifecycle, CLM, analytics.
• Drive cloud-native, API-led integration and automation.
• Ensure compliance, security, data governance, and audit readiness.
• Lead a distributed engineering team and manage budgets.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Risk, and regional tech teams.
• Ensure production stability and incident management.
