Transamerica seeks an experienced IT leader to design, develop, deploy, and support AI applications across the organization. You will leverage cloud-native development and rigorous software engineering practices to deliver scalable, secure AI platforms and services.

The role requires deep experience in AI engineering, cloud environments, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance enterprise AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI, data science, or related field.
• Eight years of software engineering or AI engineering experience.
• Two years in end-to-end AI solution design, development, testing and maintenance.
• Experience with agentic workflows.
• Experience delivering AI solutions in cloud environments (AWS).
• Proficiency with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenAI tech, LangChain, Kubernetes and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support AI applications, automation solutions, and digital agents.
• Deliver Gen AI and agentic solutions using established frameworks and cloud technologies.
• Apply software engineering best practices for scalable, secure AI solutions.
• Support the full AI solution lifecycle from design to production support.
• Contribute to enterprise AI platforms and services improvement.
• Lead small projects or technical workstreams and mentor engineers.
