Job summary

3M is seeking a Specialist in Global Converting Procurement to own category strategy for Outsourced Converting Services and drive savings and supplier collaboration. You will negotiate contracts, support NPI, and manage complex supplier networks to meet cost and performance goals.

The role emphasizes cross-functional partnerships with Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain Operations, and requires a Bachelor’s degree plus several years in sourcing or procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher completed and verified prior to start.
• Five years of combined experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering and/or Manufacturing.
• Experience with Outsource manufacturing suppliers is a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide Category Ownership across 3M Businesses & Divisions for Outsourced Converting Services.
• Drive cost savings, lead negotiations, contribute to NPI launches and manage supplier relationships.
• Minimize total product and process cost through cost reduction and best practices.
• Lead supplier selection and own external supplier relationships as the main contact.
• Drive Should Cost Model as appropriate.
• Identify and implement process improvements and manage stakeholder expectations.
