Job summary

3M is seeking a Global Molding Procurement Manager to lead the Mold category across USAC, driving strategic procurement and supplier relationships. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, guiding cost-reduction initiatives, and partnering with Manufacturing, R&D, and Finance to meet business goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 10 years in sourcing/procurement, with on-site work at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Ten (10) years of combined experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering and/or Manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment
• Experience in Procurement, especially with Molding suppliers, including contract manufacturers and co-packers
• Experience managing procurement team
• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
• Initiative, self-starter with a positive & pro-active approach; Project management experience
• Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on complex projects
• Written and oral communications
• Financial acumen and comfort with conducting business analytics

Responsibilities

• Lead the Molding Category team in the USAC region.
• Provide Category Ownership across 3M Businesses & Divisions for Outsourced Molding.
• Drive procurement policies and best practices to meet cost savings, growth and working capital goals.
• Lead negotiations and support NPI launches; manage complex supplier relationships.
• Initiate cost reduction efforts and propagate innovative procurement best practices.
• Lead supplier selection and manage external supplier relationships as the key contact for 3M.
• Drive Should Cost Model as appropriate.
• Identify and implement solutions for dual-Sourcing, negotiation, category strategy, supplier management.
• Develop partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders (Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain).
• Identify category risk reduction strategies with stakeholders; drive cash improvement per Global Policy.
• Lead contract negotiations with strategic supply partners; negotiate complex Agreements (SMI, consigned materials, pricing).
