Job summary

3M is seeking a Specialist, Global Procurement – Converting Services to lead category ownership for outsourced converting services. The role requires negotiating with strategic suppliers, driving cost improvements, and partnering with Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain Operations.

The on-site role is based at the Maplewood, MN location with up to 10% travel. Candidates should have 5+ years of sourcing/procurement experience and a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Qualifications

• Five years of combined experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering and/or Manufacturing.
• Experience with Outsource manufacturing suppliers is helpful.
• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and manage complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide Category Ownership across 3M Businesses & Divisions for Outsourced Converting Services.
• Lead negotiations and contract development with strategic suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction and should-cost models; manage supplier relationships.
• Identify process improvements and partner with internal stakeholders to optimize procurement.
